How to make a perfect pitch lap

  • Step 1: Make sure your working surface is perfectly leveled.
  • Step 2: Place your mirror and cover it with a page from a newspaper.
  • Step 3: Put your silicon mold on the mirror and align them with respect to eachother.
  • Step 4: Pour the liquid pitch gently into the mold and distribute it evenly
  • Step 5:
    • When the pitch is tacky, carefully place the tool on the pitch lap.
    • Make sure the pitch touches the glass everywhere.
    • Make sure that the tool is leveled.
  • Step 6: Wait until te pitch lap mold has cooled down enough.
  • Step 7: Unmold your perfect polishing pitch!
  • Step 8: If your pitch lap does not fit perfectly, you can easily press it into the right shape.
